How long is the flight?
Your flight lasts approx 25 minutes. During this period you will experience a high altitude snow landing and disembark the helicopter briefly for photographs.
Will we land on a Glacier?
No, there are no landings permitted in the area that we fly. Instead, we do a high altitude snow landing in an amazing location that looks right into the glacial region that surrounds Mount Aspiring.
How does the flight tie in with the jet boat and walk?
About 3/4 of the way up-river, the helicopter meets the jet boat on the banks of the river where passengers who have chosen this option disembark the jet boat and join the helicopter for their amazing flight.
Meanwhile... the jet boat continues up-river to its top destination; the remaining passengers disembark and wait for the helicopters’ return before everyone begins the wilderness walk together.
